The goal of a smile makeover is to perform a progression of one or more cosmetic dental corrections to give your mouth a new appearance. Your cosmetic dentist plans a series of dental procedures and improves your smile little by little. It may require just one appointment or a series of appointments and can include everything from orthodontia to tooth whitening.

Procedures available for a smile makeover include the following.
- Orthodontia. If your Las Vegas cosmetic dentist is trained in orthodontia, he/she can perform this procedure. However, if his skill is not at the orthodontia level, you will be referred to an orthodontist.
- Dental inlays or onlays. These dental devices are similar to veneers, but provide a more conservative approach to your smile makeover. Inlays and onlays are caps used to correct broken or chipped teeth.
- Dental veneers. Veneers are made of porcelain or composite resin or and are placed over discolored or damaged teeth to provide those teeth with a bright, clean appearance.
